Illinois Council on Food and Agricultural Research

The Illinois Council on Food and Agricultural Research (C-FAR) is a statewide coalition organized to support relevant, high-quality research and related outreach programs for Illinois’ food, agricultural, and related systems. The unique partnership formed among the State of Illinois, the food and agricultural community, and research institutions allows for industry-driven, targeted research efforts that have valuable, immediate impact. Together, C-FAR members and scientists identify the highest priority research needs for Illinois. The State of Illinois, through the C-FAR appropriation, supports a broad range of research initiatives in the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES), the College of Veterinary Medicine, and other colleges at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
