Institutional Collaboration

1890 Land-Grant Universities and the University of Puerto Rico

Since the 1890 Land-Grant Universities (the "historically black land-grant schools") already have undergraduate programs in agriculture and related sciences, efforts to recruit minority graduate students have included articulation and exchange agreements with their students and faculty. The College of ACES undergraduate research program represents collaboration with six of the historically black land-grant universities and the University of Puerto Rico to encourage high achieving juniors, seniors, and masters-level students to consider advanced degrees in the food, agricultural and human sciences.
