Join fellow ACES alumni and friends under the tent on November 4 to celebrate Salute to Agriculture Day prior to the Ohio football game. The event celebrates the importance and magnitude of agriculture in Illinois. Salute to Agriculture Day is a cooperative project between the College of ACES, the Illinois Department of Agriculture, the U of I Division of Intercollegiate Athletics, and numerous Illinois agricultural commodity organizations.
WGN Radio's Orion Samuelson will emcee the pre-game activities. Highlights of the day include an appearance by Fighting Illini celebrities, ACES athletes, and the Pep Band will be on hand to fire up the crowd. Numerous awards will be presented to ACES alumni and 4-H will honor several families and individuals. The pre-game meal will be catered by the Illinois Beef Association and Fighting Illini Pork Club. Salute to Agriculture Day is also part of the half-time activities.
This year's live auction will include "A Day with Orion" and ham and bacon from the Illinois State Fair Champion barrow, plus other exciting items!
