About the Academy of Teaching Excellence

We are proud of our reputation for teaching excellence, and we continually strive to improve its quality. Preparing students for the 21st century requires continuous curriculum revitalization, course-material development, and teaching enhancement. That's why the College of ACES established the Academy of Teaching Excellence.

The Academy of Teaching Excellence comprises a select group of College faculty who affirm and encourage excellence in teaching and advising. Their commitment to teaching has been significant. The Academy helps assure ours students receive an exceptional, well-rounded education that will enable them to succeed in their future and adapt to change. Through scholarly discussions and forums, the Academy identifies ways to improve instruction, to advance and revitalize curricula, and to reward teaching excellence. The Academy also conducts seminars and symposia, student-faculty roundtable discussions, and cultural diversity workshops. And through teaching enhancement grants the Academy provides resources to help selected faculty to improve their course programs and teaching materials
