Seven ACES Faculty Selected to 2008 Academy for Global Engagement

Seven scholars from ACES have been selected to form the ACES Academy for Global Engagement Class of 2008. The year-long program encourages global awakening among faculty in areas of education, research and outreach.

Joachim Von Braun, Director General of the International Food Policy Research Institute, Visits Illinois
Dr. Von Braun’s visit to campus, hosted by ACES Global Connect, will include a day’s of interaction with faculty, students and stakeholders in the state of Illinois.

Students in Taiwan A cross-cutting group of ACES students are studying at National Taiwan University with the help of Dr. Walter Hurley, Animal Sciences. The 10-week program focuses on coursework, and some internship experience.
