International Visitor Policy Guidelines

The University of Illinois and College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences welcomes and encourages visits from other countries to increase dialogue between international guests and our faculty on research, teaching and extension topics relevant to our college.  During 2006, more than 300 guests from countries around the world visited the University of Illinois College of ACES.
 
Due to increased international traffic, the College has developed the following guidelines:

• Academic visitors from abroad are encouraged to visit the Urbana campus. ACES Global Connect staff can assist in organizing meetings with faculty and administrators as appropriate to develop research and student exchanges. Interested visitors should contact tboian@uiuc.edu for more information.
• Visitors to the University interested in receiving an educational program related to an international travel tour or educational tour/program should contact ACES Global Connect to help organize these visits. ACES Global Connects requests one month advance notice for hosting of these groups. ACES Global Connect cannot provide assistance with travel visas, but can arrange to host the group for a designated time period on the Urbana campus only.

Reimbursement is requested for time to organize and execute the program, as well as hard costs incurred. Fees include the following:
 
One-half day program (not exceeding 3 hours):                                 $750.00
One-day program (3-7 hours):                                                         $1000.00
 
Additional days will be charged at the same rate as a one-day program.
