Thirteen U of I Communications Specialists Win Awards

Thirteen U of I communications specialists from the College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES) earned a total of 20 awards in the Agricultural Communicators in Education (ACE) 2001 Critique & Award Program. ACE is a national professional group of 700 individuals. The critique and award program attracted 440 entries and the U of I received more awards than any other university that participated in the program.

The award winners, who work in the Information Technology and Communication Services unit of ACES, amassed 7 Gold, 6 Silver, and 5 Bronze awards for their work, and include: Joyce Atkinson, Gary Beaumont, Molly Bentsen, Kathleen Chmelewski, Stacey Krejci, Debra Levey Larson, Marisa Meador, Doug Peterson, Mary Overmier, David Riecks, Lynn Smith, Brian Stauffer, and Krista Sunderland. Doug Peterson and David Riecks also received Outstanding Professional Skill Awards for instructional design and photography respectively.
